Options includes:
Zip music and move to another PC's iTunes Music Library
 Zip your full iTunes Music Library
 Zip purchased tracks
 Zip songs
 Zip videos
 Zip podcasts
 Zip TV shows
 Zip specific tracks in your iTunes Music Library by using a file pattern (e.g. *.mp3, *.m4v, *.wav).
Shared your zipped tracks using Easy Share to move the zip file to another PC or the web to send to other users. NOTE: To share simply run LibZIP on the other PC.
 Includes compression options and the ability to specify a zip folder location.
 Unzip using built-in unzip. NEW UnZIP and automatically add tracks to iTunes. UnZIP from shared folder (file transfers).
 Unzipping the zip archive using third-party tools such as WinZIP.

Special Firewall issues: if you are using a firewall, FTP port 21 must be open or port forwarding must be on for port 21. Use your firewall's browser interface usually at http://192.168..1.1 to open or port forward.



New features include: new unZIP options, new ZIP options, Easy Share for sharing ZIPs, drag n' drop support and a built-in unzip with preview.

Possible uses:

Zip a playlist and share using EasyShare. Once on another PC, unzip and then import into that PC's iTunes Music Library.
Zip any part of your library and share using EasyShare. Once on another PC, unzip and then import into that PC's iTunes Music Library.
Use EasyShare to move a playlist, songs, videos, podcasts to another machine running iTunes.
Zip a playlist or a song and send via email.
 Find and save/backup key entries in ZIP format.
Backup all of your iTunes Music Library or a specific playlist in a ZIP format.



Drag n' Drop - As an alternative to using the Easy Share menus, drag n' drop any files to send on drag n' drop area. All files dropped will be sent to the same desination (first sharing names specified).
Backup - backup your iTunes Musc Library.
UnZIP - unzip a zip file or any of the packeges LibZIP creates.
All - zip everything in your iTunes Musc Library.
Songs - zip all of the songs in your iTunes Musc Library.
Podcasts - zip all of the podtcasts in your iTunes Music Library.
TV Shows - zip all of the tv shows in your iTunes Music Library.
Videos - zip all of the videos in your iTunes Music Library.
Purchased - zipall purchased songs in your iTunes Music Library.
Special - zip all the entries found in your iTunes Music Library matchin a specified file pattern. e.g. *.mp3
Playlist - zip all entries found in a specific iTunes Music Library playlist.
Settings - set settings such as compression level and zip folder location.

EasyShare

EasyShare is an easy way transfer your ZIPs or any file to another PC running LibZIP.

To use:
  1. Use LibZIP to ZIP your desired tracks, e.g. songs, videos, a playlist etc...
  2. Start LibZIP on the other PC you want to transfer the ZIP to.
  3. After LibZIP is started on the other machine, use the Easy Share menu to share the last ZIP or another ZIP or file.
  4. If you are sharing another ZIP or file, you will be prompted to select the ZIP or file.
  5. Next you will be prompted to enter the sharing name for the PC you are sending the file to. The sharing name is the ip address or host name and is displayed in the bottom left-hand corner of LibZIP.
  6. If the entered ip address or host is invalid or can not be connected to an error will be displayed with instructions.
  7. Once the transfer starts a status window is displayed showing the status of the transfer. An upload icon is displayed in the lower left-hand portion of the window. Also on the other machine a download icon will appear in the bottom left-hand corner of the window as well as the file being received.

Options:
Ask before receive file - this applies to receiving a file. If selected and a file is being sent, a prompt window will be displayed indicting the file transfer request and if you want to continue. if you want all your transfers to be received silently without intervention or having to go to another machine to say 'YES', then select this option.
Replace existing files - this applies to receiving a file. If selected, an existing file will automatically be replaced. If not selected, a prompt window will be displayed asking you if you want to replace the file.
Show transfer folder - this applied to receiving a file. If selected, after a file has been received the file transfer folder will automatically be opened to show the file transferred.

Original Location - select to unzip into the original file location as specified by the zip file. e.g. if zipped the file test.mp3 in the directory c:\music\, when unzip will unzip to c:\music\test.mp3
Select Output Directory - select an output directory to unzip files into.
Preview File List - preview the files that would be unzipped.
Cancel - cancel the unzip

Automatically add unzipped tracks to iTunes

After selecting an unzip option, you will be asked if you want to automatically add tracks to iTunes. If you select yes, all unzipped entries will be added to your iTunes Music Library. This is very useful when ZIPing tracks on one PC that you want on another PC. You ZIP the tracks, share the tracks with the other PC and on the other PC unZIP and use the automatically add to iTunes option.

EasyShare

REQUIREMENTS: if you are using a firewall, port 21 must be opened up for both the sending and receiving PC. LibZIP has an embedded FTP Server and FTP Client which uses the standard FTP port 21.

Unzipping using built-in unzip.

To launch 7-Zip from LibZIP use the View-->7-Zip UnZIP tool menu. 7-Zip can be used to unzip the created zip archives.

Change zip directory - displays a window for selecting the zip directory location.
Set zip compression level - display a window for selected the zip compression level. The default is 1.

The zip compression level is used to indicate how agressive the zip compression is. The default is 1 which is the fastest. The better and best levels can be very slow and are not very useful for compressing music (.mp3), video (.mov) and other file formats that are already compressed.

The default zips folder is \zips in the TuneZIP instalation directory. The zips folder is just for convenience and does
not have to be used as you can save your zip files anywhere.
